How are skin tags removed?

If the skin tag is small, it may just naturally rub off on its own. However, if they do need to be removed, we have several ways to treat them at our clinic.

LASER – For aesthetically pleasing results, our doctor can remove skin tags by our state-of-the-art laser.
Surgical – Our doctor will remove the skin tag with a scalpel or scissors.
Cryotherapy – Using liquid nitrogen, we will freeze the growth. This kills the cells of the skin tag, and it will naturally fall off.
Electrosurgery – The skin tag will be burnt off using electrical energy.

Small skin tags generally do not need anesthesia to remove. Local anesthesia may be required when removing large or a cluster of skin tags.
