Dr. Meena Venugopal, founder of Excel Primary Care has been practicing medicine for over 30 years. She is a Family Physician Certified by the American Academy of Family Practice and due to her professional accomplishments in the field, was honored as a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Medicine.

 

Apart from practicing Primary Care Medicine and treating people of all ages from the new born to the elderly she has obtained Board Certification In Obesity Medicine and has been  certified  in  Bariatric Medicine ( Obesity Medicine )by the American Academy of Obesity Medicine in 2017  .

 

Pursuing her interest in aesthetic medicine Dr.Venugopal obtained laser certification in 2018.

Since then she has been performing a variety of laser aesthetic procedures including facial rejuvenation, wrinkle treatment and tight sculpting on various parts of the body including the neck abdomen thighs, upper back  etc.

Excel primary care and medical spa is certified by the Bureau of radiation for laser safety 

 

Dr.  Venugopal is an active member of the Obesity Medicine Association and the American Academy of Family Physicians.

 

Following completion of medical school from Lady Hardinge Medical College in New Delhi India, Dr.Venugopal worked in the United  Kingdom 3 years before moving to the USA and completed her residency from UNMC, Omaha and moved to Phoenix .

 Excel Primary Care was started in 2006 and since then has continued to serve the people of Gilbert and Chandler area with kindness, compassion and utmost dedication even through the difficult times of COVID 19.

Excel Primary Care is the recipient of multiple awards and in 2019 was awarded the Patient in Focus Award.

 

In 2014 Excel Primary Care received the Gold Arizona Quality Improvement Recognition Award, for demonstrating excellence in using health information technology to manage patients with complex diseases, report quality performance measures, and excel in clinical outcomes.
